Wondering which treatment you should go for? Botox & Fillers or Facial Eye Treatment? Our previous sharing provided insights into eye cream and eye treatment. Common treatments include RF, Ultrasound, and traditional eye treatments. If you have not read about it, read it here.
Before we begin to compare, have you ever wondered what the difference is and still been confused?
Botox and Fillers are non-invasive eye procedures in which products are injected into the eye area to achieve specific results, such as reducing dark circles and firming and lifting the eyes to make them look younger and brighter.

1. Botox
Botox, also known as Botulinum Toxin, is a method used to block the nerve signal that tells the muscles around the eye to contract. It temporarily relaxes facial muscles and causes fine lines and wrinkles.
Botox treatment will only take a few minutes after the doctor has mapped out the injection sites for the fine needles. Depending on the treatment, it will generally take about 7 to 14 days for the effect to start. The lasting effects of Botox vary from two to six months.

2. Fillers
Unlike Botox, Fillers are used to fill the creases that cause wrinkles, creating a smoother appearance and giving the eyes a “plump” look.
Depending on your concern, there are many different types of fillers, such as Restylane Tear-trough fillers, which use Hyaluronic Acid to fill facial wrinkles and soften dark circles.
The duration for Fillers Eye Treatment to be completed will generally be the same as for Botox treatment. The effect of the treatment varies from immediately after your session to 7 to 14 days, depending on which treatment. The effect of fillers lasts from 2 to 6 months, too.

After understanding more about the two aesthetic treatments, please remember that choosing the right clinic is very important. Knowing if the clinics are qualified to conduct the treatments is crucial. Some questions you may want to check:
- What qualifications does the Clinic have?
- How much does the treatment cost, and how is it charged?
- Which brand of products does the Clinic use?
- Are there any testimonials to show the effect of the treatment?
- Is there any downtime? If yes, how long?
- What are the potential side effects?
- What after-care will I be given?
Let’s now compare aesthetic eye treatment and facial eye treatment.
| Aesthetic Eye Treatment | Facial Eye Treatment | |
| Cost | There could be potential side effects, such as facial muscles becoming stiff. | The average facial eye treatment cost starts from $120 |
| Effect | It takes a shorter time for the effect to be seen. Home care is not required. | It takes a longer time for the effect to be seen. Home care is needed. |
| Maintenance | Every 1 month one time | There may be side effects, such as facial muscle stiffness. |
| Side Effects | Every 3 to 4 months, once during the first year. After which, once a year. | It is a more natural procedure with no side effects. |
Now that you have understood the differences between these two treatments, you can better choose the more suitable approach for yourself.

Remember the importance of an eye cream, too; you will still need to apply it despite getting these eye treatments!
