Genki Kids Facial
There is something special about watching your daughter experience her very first facial, especially when it is something she may have seen Mum enjoying before.
The Genki Kids Facial gives her that little grown-up moment, without the grown-up skincare.
Created for children aged 4 to 12, this gentle 30-minute facial focuses on simple cleansing, hydration and comfort, with no machines, intensive extractions or complicated treatments.
For ages 4–8, it is mostly about the fun of having her very own facial and feeling pampered. For ages 9–12, it can also be a gentle introduction to simple habits like cleansing and moisturising, without encouraging an elaborate skincare routine.
Whether it is her birthday, a school holiday treat or simply some special mother-daughter time, she gets an experience that feels all her own, while you know it has been thoughtfully designed for young skin.
Why Genki Kids Facial Is Different
Children’s skin has different needs from adult skin, so we keep the experience gentle and uncomplicated.

Made for Young Skin
Her skin is gently cleansed and replenished with moisture using selected IREN Shizen skincare that is:
- Dermatologically tested
- Fragrance-free
- Alcohol-free
- Paraben-free
- 100% vegan and cruelty-free
- Formulated without 2,000+ banned ingredients
No Grown-Up Facial Treatments
We deliberately leave out:
- Machine-based treatments
- Intensive extractions or painful squeezing
- Harsh scrubbing
- Complicated corrective treatments
It is simply 30 minutes of gentle skincare, relaxation and a little pampering.
What Happens During Her 30-Minute Facial?
First facial? No problem.
Her therapist will help her settle in and take things at her pace. She can ask questions, chat, or simply relax, with no expectation that she stay completely still or behave like an adult spa guest.
If anything feels uncomfortable, she can say so at any time. Her comfort always comes first.
Once she is comfortable, the facial follows three simple, gentle steps designed to keep the experience easy and relaxing for young skin.

1. Gentle Cleanse
We gently remove sunscreen, sweat and everyday impurities without intensive scrubbing or extraction.

2. Hydrating Care
Moisture-replenishing skincare helps keep young skin feeling soft and comfortable.

3. Calming Finish
The facial finishes with soothing moisturising care, leaving her skin feeling fresh, hydrated and cared for.
Make Her First Facial a Memory

Some treats are exciting for a day. Others become little memories you talk about together afterwards.
Surprise her with her very first facial for her birthday, turn a school holiday into a special outing, or make it part of a mother-daughter spa day where she finally gets to experience a little of what Mum loves too.
For 30 minutes, the attention is all hers. Her own therapist. Her own facial. Her own little moment of being pampered.
And for you, it is a chance to give her something more meaningful than another toy or screen-time activity: time to slow down, feel special and share an experience she will remember.
Frequently Asked Questions
What age is the Genki Kids Facial suitable for?
The Genki Kids Facial is specifically designed for children aged 4 to 12 years.
Does my child actually need a facial?
Not in the same way an adult may need a facial for specific skin concerns. Genki Kids Facial is best enjoyed as an occasional spa experience with simple cleansing and hydration. For older children, it can also be a gentle introduction to basic skincare habits.
What skincare will be used?
We use selected IREN Shizen skincare that is dermatologically tested, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free, vegan and cruelty-free. If your child has any known allergies or sensitivities, please let us know before the treatment.
Are machines or extractions used?
No. There are no machine-based treatments or intensive extractions in the Genki Kids Facial. The treatment focuses on gentle cleansing, hydration and moisturising.
What if my child is nervous about her first facial?
Our therapist will help her settle in and explain the experience at her pace. She can ask questions, talk during the treatment or let the therapist know at any time if something feels uncomfortable.
Does my child need to stay completely still?
No. We understand that children behave differently from adult spa guests. The experience is designed around your child’s comfort rather than expecting her to remain completely still or silent.
Can children with sensitive skin have the facial?
The facial focuses on gentle cleansing and hydration using fragrance-free skincare. Please let us know in advance if your child has any known allergies, particularly reactive skin, eczema, an active rash, or any other existing skin concerns, so our team can advise you.
Will this facial treat acne?
No. The Genki Kids Facial is a gentle cleansing and hydrating facial rather than an acne treatment. For persistent or significant acne, we recommend trying our Deep Cleansing Acne Facial, which is designed to address acne-prone skin more specifically.
Do I need to prepare her skin before the appointment?
No. There is no need to remove sunscreen or cleanse her face beforehand. Gentle cleansing is included in the facial.
Can I book my own treatment during the same visit?
Yes. You may enjoy your own Ikeda Spa treatment while your child has hers. If you are both having facials, treatments take place in individual facial rooms. Your child will be looked after by her therapist throughout her 30-minute treatment.
My facial is 60 minutes, but my child’s is 30 minutes. What happens when theirs ends?
If your treatment runs longer than your child’s, they do not need to leave. Your child can continue to relax comfortably in the treatment room with a quiet activity while you complete your session undisturbed.
How often should children have a facial?
There is no need for children to follow an adult-style monthly facial routine. Genki Kids Facial is best enjoyed as an occasional treat, a special experience, or a gentle introduction to basic skincare.
Do I need to accompany my child?
Yes. Guests under 18 require parental consent. Please arrive around 15 minutes before the appointment for registration and the pre-treatment consultation.
