Q&A Interview with Roanna (ParadeOfLove)

Recently, we interviewed content creator and blogger Roanna Tan (@ParadeOfLove) after her spa experience here at Ikeda Spa. Check out our Q&A to learn more about her and her first-time experience with us!

Question #1: Tell us about yourself

I’m Roanna, a digital communications professional by day and a content creator by night. I leverage data-driven insights to optimise content strategies and craft social media approaches that foster meaningful engagement. After hours, I unleash my creativity through beauty, experimenting with makeup and skincare while sharing tips and exploring trends. Outside of work, I’m an avid traveller and outdoor enthusiast, eager to discover new places and embrace fresh experiences.

Question #2: What are you passionate about?

I’m deeply passionate about beauty—skincare, makeup, and treatments. I’ve explored numerous products and techniques, continually seeking the next game-changer for my routine. Whether it’s a perfect moisturiser for my changing skin or a waterproof mascara that withstands Singapore’s tropical heat, I love experimenting and sharing what works. For me, beauty is more than skin-deep; it’s a powerful form of self-expression and confidence.

Question #3: What is something people don’t know about Roanna?

One thing that surprises people about me is that I’m a bit of a daredevil! I love heights—whether it’s riding intense rollercoasters or tackling adventure sports for an adrenaline rush. When I travel, I’m always excited to try unfamiliar or exotic foods. I genuinely enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone, whether through physical challenges or culinary adventures.

Question #4: What is your ideal relaxation?

My idea of the perfect relaxation is all about indulging in some well-deserved “me-time.” I love starting with brunch at a cosy café and enjoying a delicious meal in a relaxed setting. Then, I like to treat myself to a luxurious facial or massage – nothing beats a bit of pampering to recharge. Afterwards, some leisurely shopping and a nice dinner to end the day—It’s my ideal way to disconnect and recharge.

Question #5: Can you share your first experience at Ikeda Spa?

Roanna is trying out the Geisha Organic Facial!

My first experience at Ikeda Spa was truly unique and memorable. I discovered the Geisha Organic Facial, more famously known as the bird poop facial, while browsing online for bizarre beauty treatments in Singapore that I could try. I was initially intrigued but sceptical, expecting the nightingale droppings used in the facial to have an unpleasant smell. However, I was pleasantly surprised – not only did it not smell like bird poop, but it had a mild, nutty fragrance.

Question #6: What’s the difference you see in your face after the Geisha Organic facial?

The treatment was surprisingly soothing and left my skin looking brighter and more radiant. It was an experience that undoubtedly exceeded my expectations and one that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking something different yet effective.
