Respect for the Aged Day (敬老の日 Keirō no Hi) at Ikeda Spa Prestige

Respect for the Aged Day (敬老の日 Keirō no Hi) is a Japanese holiday celebrated annually to honour elderly citizens. It started in 1966 as a national holiday and is held every September. Respect for the Aged Day will take place on September 16, 2013. On this special day, Ikeda Spa Prestige works together with the senior project 117 to provide wellness services for our special guests in celebration of the Japanese Aged Day and also as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to show our gratitude towards the elderly.

A little background of project 117:

Project 117 was set up to look after the welfare of senior citizen in Block 117, Bukit Merah View. The activities involved are “get together” gatherings, birthday parties for the elderly etc.

The first treatment began with our Public Onsen Bath experience, allowing them to experience the feeling of the Onsen Hot Spring Bath in Japan. The staff were there to help them get dressed in a pretty yukata robe after the bath and get ready for some photo taking!

After a great bonding session and snapping of many photos (which all women love) with our VIP guests together, it is time for our VIP guests to relax and unwind in our massage and facial treatment! Ms Lee, Ms Meh and Ms Wang get to enjoy our Inyou Relaxation Massage while Ms Kong choose to go for our Tsukika Corrective Facial Treatment! All of them gave us lovely feedback!

All the therapists are very professional and reasonable! Excellent service and I like the environment very much! Can I have a discount on my next visit? 😉 – Ms Meh

Service is very good and the ambience is very clean and relaxing. Well done overall! thumbs up! – Ms Wang

All Excellent! – Ms Lee

I enjoyed the facial and the spa very much! I like the facial a lot, and this facial is the best I have ever tried compared to the other facials. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They all have a good smile on their faces.- Ms Kong

This year’s CSR event was a success, and we would like to thank the Ikeda Spa Prestige for their effort and kindness they pour towards the elderly! Special thanks to Ms Kong for taking the time to visit and care for the elderly as well. We will miss you!

If you take an interest in working with us, don’t hesitate to sign up for our corporate wellness program!
